AMETEK SCP ANNOUNCES TWO STAFF APPOINTMENTS

WESTERLY, RI, —AMETEK SCP, a world leader in underwater cable and connector solutions for military and commercial applications, has named two to staff positions as Vice President and General Manager and Vice President of Business Development.
David Duffié has been named Vice President and General Manager. He joined AMETEK SCP in March and is a retired US Navy Submarine Captain with more than 30 years of naval experience. Previously, he had been General Manager of Kollmorgen Electro-Optical, a supplier of submarine periscopes and photonic masts.
Mr. Duffié is a graduate of the US Naval Academy. He also holds Master’s degrees in Nuclear Engineering and National Security Strategy and has an MBA from Cameron University. He was a Program Manager and Faculty Member of the Naval War College and served as Chief of Staff of Submarine Group Eight-Naples, Italy and commanded two nuclear submarines.
Pamela Hurst was named Vice President of Business Development. Ms. Hurst joins AMETEK SCP with over 35 years of experience in naval, maritime and ocean-based systems. Along with extensive business development experience, her background includes senior engineering positions with Battelle, AT&T, GDAIS, Lockheed Martin, Westinghouse and Honeywell.
Ms. Hurst was appointed to the University of Rhode Island’s Ocean Engineering Department’s Advisory Panel for 2011 to 2014. She also was elected to IEEE Ocean Engineering Society Advisory Committee and appointed to IEEE OES Technical Committee Chair for Homeland Infrastructure Security and Vice Chair of Submarine Cables.
